Canine Sculptures, Dog Memorials & Urns

Picture
I created My Furever Friend to help people who have lost their best friend. I’ve been a canine soft sculptress since 2003 and my collectible dogs can be found all across the world. I know and feel the deep love and friendship one can have for their dog, and I put my heart into my creations. I don’t mass produce, but each dog memorial individually and heart-warmingly made just for you, in loving memory of your fur-loved. After the loss of a pet, a beloved fur-family member there is a huge hole in our hearts, and an empty space in our homes. I know because I too have lost that special companion. I hardly use the word pet, because I know like many, and maybe like yourself, they aren’t just pets, but truly a family member. Too many times after the loss of a dog we’re told we can always get “another”. Yes, many of us will adopt another dog, but none of us will ever be able to replace the one gone, nor would we want too. My dog memorials, and pet memorials are meant to be a loving, tangible remembrance to honor your fur-loved. It may be a recent loss or maybe one lost long ago in time, but still so near to the heart. A huggable urn, a pet memorial to remember your fur-loved with.

About the Dogs

Picture

My dogs are completely designed, sewn, and sculpted by me. This unique and rare type of art is referred to as “soft sculpture”. The medium used is fabric, fibers and/or plush fur instead of bronze or clay. Most often I use mohair and or alpaca. Which ever best depicts the dog breed I am making is the medium I use.
My dogs are designed and cut from my original patterns, sewn, and then filled with poly fibers for softness. I use glass beads, copper bbs, and/or plastic pellets for weight and a “squishy” feel. I use an internal wire frame for stability which will allow for posing on certain styles. Eyes are premium glass, and noses are intricately shaped and sculpted by hand. The rest of the detail in my dogs come from my own creative and artistic passion that emanates from my heart, and true love for dogs.

A tangible remembrance of your four-legged family member.
